Skagastølsryggen to Store Skagastølstind — full ridge day

Route overview
We set off from Turtagrø and wander up the beautiful Skagadalen. Passing Tindeklubbhytta, the terrain tips upward toward Nordre Skagastølstind. From here the ridge sharpens. At V-skaret, beneath Midtre Skagastølstind, the character changes: this is where the proper hands-on section begins, a mix of exposed scrambling and short climbing that carries us to Vetle Skagastølstind.

Key crux & summit push
From Vetle we make a tidy rappel into Mohns skar, then climb the final metres to the summit of Store Skagastølstind. It’s never about hard grades—more about steady feet, good pacing and enjoying the flow on an alpine skyline.

Descent
We come down by the normal route, passing the little “hytta på Bandet”, then drop back through Skagadalen to Turtagrø.
